A low footed pottery dish painted in umber and black. The decoration comprises of an outer spiral wave design and a central four pointed astral motif, with three dots on the interstices.
Circa: mid-4th century BC.
Very fine condition.
Diameter 14 cms (5.5 ins).

The name 'Genucilia' derives from a Latin or Faliscan lady of the name Poplia Genucilia, who owned a similar plate inscribed with her name.
