Bronze short-sword cast in one piece, with flanged grip and crescentic pommel; three holes in grip and pommel, two of which contain the original rivets which would have secured the inlay. Heavy and relatively long lenticular blade.

Luristan area of Persia: Circa 800-750 B.C.


Condition: Fine condition, complete and intact; light encrustations.

Length 41.5 cms (16.3 ins).
