A pretty necklace composed of small Roman blue glass beads, with a central gold pendant, originally being a Roman gold earring element, with a pearl bead and variously coloured stones. The necklace has been restrung with modern gold-plated wire, clasp, and loops (the original binding has long since perished).
Circa 1st-3rd Century AD.
Total length 45 cms (17.7 ins) including the fastener.
