A silver eagle figurine with folded wings, perched on a discoid base. The wings and body with profuse engraved decoration to simulate feathers.

Circa 1st-2nd century AD.


Condition: Very fine.

Height 26 mms (1 inch)


Such small appliques were added to richly ornament the silver vessels used in fine dining.
