A silver eagle figurine with folded wings, perched on a discoid base. The wings and body with fine engraved linear decoration to simulate feathers.

1st-2nd century AD.


Condition: Very fine.

Height 16 mms (0.6 ins)


Such small appliques were added to richly ornament the silver vessels used in fine dining.
