A beautiful necklace of individually crafted original Sassanian carnelian beads dating to 3rd-6th century AD. which were made for wear in ancient times together with two Neo-Assyrian gold beads dating to earlier times circa 9th-7th century BC. The beads and the amulet are original and date to the period stated. They have been restrung on a modern beading wire loop with gold-plated fixings (the original binding having long since perished).
