A South Arabian bronze statuette of a dromedary camel and its rider. The animal is stylistically modelled, with a long, thin, narrow body, whilst the rider is dressed in long robes, one arm raised for balance, the other holding the reins.
Circa: 2nd-1st century BC
Fine condition with accretions to much of the figure, but the bronze is good.
Length 5 cms (2 ins).
Provenance: Acquired in the 1980s from a French collection.
