A terracotta 'slipper' oil lamp with raised handle with an animal's head terminal at the rear, with possibly ram's or goat's horns. The discus is richly ornamented with a variety of circles, crooks, straight lines.
Eastern Mediterranean: Circa 7th-early 8th century BC.
Complete and intact; with accretions. A little blackening around the nozzle from use.
Length 6.9 cms (2.7 ins).
