A matching pair of shallow-moulded celadon pottery vases, each with looped ring handles featuring the Chinese characters 'Fu' and 'Shou' for fortune and longevity. Covered in a pale green glaze.
Song Dynasty China: Circa 960 - 1279
Both in good overall condition with no signs of damages or repairs. Some minor firing faults to glaze only.

Provenance: Ex collection of the late Phillip Allen (1938-2022), a council member of the Oriental Ceramic Society.
