A small turquoise glazed faience amulet in the form of a lioness head, with a vertical hole for suspension; plain reverse.

 

Ancient Egyptian Ptolemaic period: Circa 4th-1st century B.C.

 

Condition: Complete and intact; a few light encrustations.

Height 17 mms (0.7 ins).

 

Provenance: Ex London gallery; previously in a home counties UK collection circa 1930-1940.
