An Egyptian very dark blue faience scaraboid. The top depicts a seated baboon representing the god, Thoth, whilst the base carries clear hieroglyphs, probably translating as "Amun-Ra is Lord".
Supplied with a modern hard wax impression of the seal.
Later Hyksos-Tuthmosid period: Circa 1650-1400 BC.
Very Fine condition; complete and intact.
Length 20 mms (0.78 ins).
Provenance: Ex. collection: Sheikh Saud Bin Mohammed al-Thani (1966-2014), Prince of Qatar and former Culture Minister.
