A good-sized Egyptian Pre-Dynastic ovoid terracotta pottery jar or vase with flat rim and horizontal lug handles. The vessel is decorated on rim, body and bottom with vertical and wavy lines in red-brown pigments. Supplied with metal display stand.

Complete and intact: Very Fine condition.

Provenance: Danish private collection. Acquired at Rupert Wace Ancient Art in 2001. Previously from a German private collection acquired during the 1950s-1960s.
The vessel is supplied with an Oxford Authentication thermoluminescence TL test report confirming the age of the jar, along with a copy of the Rupert Wace invoice of 2001 (sold for 8500 Euros).
