A carved wooden shabti mummiform figure, arms folded across stomach, and wearing the royal wig, painted with black highlights. Traces of ochre ground with few traces of red-brown painted highlights.
Egyptian Third Intermediate Period: Circa 1069-525 BCE.
Condition: Generally, Very Fine: A stable age split vertically down the front, small chip on the left corner of the foot, otherwise intact.
Height 19.2 cms (7.5 ins).
Height with stand 21.5 cms (8.5 ins)
Provenance: Khader M. Baidun & Sons, Jerusalem Israel, 2000 (with COA); acquired by Dr. Henry Cherrick, Professor and Dean at UCLA School of Dentistry who pioneered government programs promoting dental care in HIV/AIDs patients.
