An unusually fine Early Bronze Age terracotta pottery juglet with a single handle. The vessel has a plain rim, short cylindrical leading to the rounded body, and stands on a flattened base. The fabric is very fine with good clean surfaces.
Early Bronze age Palestine / Holy Land: Circa 3100-2900 BC.
Complete and intact; just a small insignificant chip to the inside of the rim.
Height 9.4 cms (3.7 ins).

Amongst the earliest of civilisations which flourished in the barren Bible lands, the peoples of the Early Bronze Age who built the first cities produced pottery, which was beautifully and simply crafted.
