A fine Early Bronze Age Palestine pottery bowl of good size. The vessel has flared sides with prick dot decoration and four vestigial unperforated loops around the rim.
Early Bronze Age Holy Land: Circa 3100-2900 BC.
Complete and intact: The fabric is very fine with good surfaces; some variation in the colour of the fabric between one side and the other, with an area staining towards the top on one side.
Height 10.4 cms (4.1 ins).
Provenance: Ex David Gold collection, deceased, London 1990's.
Amongst the earliest of civilisations which flourished in the barren Bible lands, the peoples of the Early Bronze Age, who built the first cities, also produced pottery, which was beautifully and simply crafted.
