A reclining figure of early Autlan type, perhaps of an acrobat, in orange terracotta. The figure wears a hat, ear plugs and a striped blanket over the body, whilst reclining backwards, supporting the weight on the hands. Incised decoration and a little added pale cream and black pigments on the eyes and ear plugs.
Pre-Columbian West Mexico, Colima, Autlan type: Circa 100 BC to 250 AD.
Very Fine condition; complete and intact, with good fabric.

Early Autlan figures shared traits and styles with both Jalisco and Colima. Typical is the use of incised features and decoration.
