A small terracotta figure of a standing female. She stands with her arms folded around her waist, wears a headdress, armbands and an ornate necklace, with an apron around her waist.

Supplied with a simple display perspex T-stand for display.

 

Pre-Columbian West Mexico, early Autlán culture: Circa 100 BC to 250 AD.

 

Very Fine condition; complete and intact.

Height 9 cms (3.5 ins)

 

Provenance: US. private collection. Ex. Dr. David Harner collection, Arkansas, 1950's - 1960's, collection.

 

Early Autlan figures shared traits and styles with both Jalisco and Colima. Typical is the use of incised features and decoration.
