A solid terracotta Veracruz standing figure of a warrior wearing a fancy headdress with a decorated cone type cap, ear ornaments, a pendant necklace and a textured panelled loincloth. He has the typical black chapapote decoration around the eyes, mouth and knees.
Pre-Columbian Mexican Gulf Coast: Circa 600 BC - 900 AD.
Condition: Overall scattered strong mineral deposits on the surface; an ancient loss on the headdress band, otherwise intact, excellent condition.
