A Roman oil lamp in pale orange terracotta, Loeschcke form III a with air hole on nozzle top and voluted angular-tipped nozzle. The discus is decorated with a right facing flying Pegasus. The lamp stands on a low ring base.
Roman, probably North Italian: Circa 40-100 AD.
Very Fine condition, complete and intact, with light accretions remaining.
Length 8 cms (3.15 ins).
Provenance: Ex German private collection 1980's-1990's.
