A Roman very pale blue clear glass cosmetics flask. The flask has a rolled rim, and a globular body standing on a flattened base, inverted towards the centre.
Ancient Roman: Circa 3rd-4thcentury AD.
Very Fine condition with good glass: Complete and intact with a few light accretions.
Height 8.4 cms (3.3 ins).

Glass objects were produced in large amounts in the later Roman Empire, for items of everyday use and for keeping expensive unguents and cosmetic oils, which would have been gathered from all corners of the expansive Roman Empire.
