A fragmentary marble head of a youthful Eros with a smiling face and chubby cheeks. The head is modelled fully in the round, the mouth slightly open, with curly hair arranged in a top knot. Mounted on a modern marble stand.
Roman: Circa 2nd-1st century BC.
Condition: Very Fine; slight abrasion to his left cheek; no restorations.
Height without base 11.8 cms (4.65 ins).
Height with base 19 cms (7.5 ins)
