A Loeschcke I Roman terracotta oil lamp, mould-made in orange-buff clay, with a circular discus depicting a crocodile walking left. The lamp has a filling hole below the crocodile and a voluted angular-tipped nozzle which has a little blackening from ancient use. The base with the old collection number in black.
