A provincial Roman terracotta oil lamp. The discus is decorated with the facing head of the bearded satyr, Silenus, with donkeys' ears and wearing an ivy leaf or grapevine wreath; air hole by the side. The perimeter of the lamp is decorated with a simple ovolo stamped geometric pattern; a small, rounded nozzle, and a ring handle at the rear. The base with the old collection number in black.

Complete and intact; the scene a little worn.
