A simple Roman pottery cup. Composed of a pale orange terracotta fabric, the surface is largely masked by grey earthen encrustations and has a single thick loop handle extending from the rim to the shoulders.
Ancient Roman Germany: Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
Condition: In archaeological condition; a few minor digs to the surface of the body, otherwise complete with grey earthy accretions over much of the body.
Height: 8.2 cms (3.2 ins).
Provenance: German private collection acquired during the 1990's.
