A roman terracotta statuette of an equestrian on his horse. The details are worn but we can see he wears a flowing cape, and holds an upright sword in his right hand, just behind a rectangular shield. The horse is well modelled, with well-defined mane, walking right.
Supplied on a custom-made mount.
Ancient Roman: Circa 3rd-4th century AD.
Condition: A surface chip to the head of the rider, details worn, with some small parts chips missing, otherwise intact with some burn marks.
Height (not including mount) 14.5 cms (5.7 ins).
