Marble Surface

A buff pottery oil lamp decorated with a palm branch on either side of the filling hole, a little blackening around the nozzle from use. Maker's impressed mark to base. Old collection number.

 

Romano-Egyptian: Circa 3rd-4th century AD.

 

Very Fine condition.

Length 8.5 cms (3.4 ins)

 

Provenance: From an old German collection, 1960's-1970's
