A Tang Dynasty terracotta figure of a female offerant. She is dressed in robes with long sleeves, wearing a headdress. She has their hands clasped in front, with a small recess to hold an offering or incense stick for the owner in the afterlife.
Chinese Tang Dynasty: Circa 618-906 AD.
Condition: Complete and intact, the pigments now quite eroded.
Height 20.1 cms (7.9 ins).
Ex London gallery: previously in a private Somerset collection and purchased in Bath 1990's.
