A terracotta male figure of the Tuxcacuesco-Ortices type in salmon-buff-colour pottery. He is carrying a large vessel on his shoulder. He wears a tall headdress, ear plugs, necklace and loin cloth and stands with the free arm to his stomach. The figure is decorated with additional black painted striped decoration.
The figure is supplied with a simple perspex T-stand.
Pre-Columbian West Mexico, Colima culture: Circa 100 BC - 250 AD.

This figurine is typical of the Tuxcacuesco-Ortices type: coffee-bean eyes; elongated body, thin in profile; arms rounded and sometimes crossed over the chest; appliqued ornaments and headbands, sometimes turban-like; elaborate loincloths on males of incised appliques with long tassels in front or side.
